DAVEY

As yet, we dont know as much about this side of the family as we would like, other than Dr James George DAVEY was quite an innovator in treating people with mental illness at Frampton Cotterell, and we can be proud of his record.

There is also an issue about the ancestory of Maria Ann Fitzosborne MORGAN as her parentage isnt very certain.

Below are shown the few generations of DAVEY that we have at present, linking Davey to the BLOCK family.

DAVEY

James G DAVEY married SARAH ROOK and between 1797 and 1815 they had ten children: George, James Samuel, Eliza Wittman, Sarah, James, Mary Jane, Ann, Louisa, James George and Emma.

James George DAVEY (1812- 1895) ca 1835 married Maria Ann Fitzosborne MORGAN (ca 1817- bef 1884) and they had nine children:  Maria Ann Elizabeth, James Samuel Engledon, Eliza Connely, Emily Marianne, Frances Helena, Catherine L.J., Madelein G, Florence E and Edith C.

Emily Marianne DAVEY (1842- 1933) on 27 June 1865 married Allen William Hugh BLOCK (1842- 1899) and they had four children:  Phyllis, Nicholas, Harry A and Kath.

Phyllis “Purr” BLOCK (1884- 1970) in 1909 married James Roberton “Hoots” HARVEY (1884-1952) and they had 7 children: Joy, Veronica, Jill, John Roberton, David James Roberton, William Jeffrey Roberton plus a daughter Mary Roberton who died in 1918 aged under one year.
