HOOMAN AND PARDOE
This line of the family goes back from BLOCK, where, as seen in the tree, Parthenia PARDOE married Allen WIlliams BLOCK in 1830.
Davids cousin has transcribed many of Parthenia PARDOE’s letters and diaries and published them; included also in her book are details of the family and some of the ancestry. Parthenia is an interesting character indeed. She was also quite easy to find initially, as there are not many Parthenias around! I am still trying to sort out how Thomas PARDOE who married Parthenia HOOMAN fits into the family of Elizabeth PARDOE who married James HOOMAN.
The HOOMANs were carpet makers in Kidderminster, and so far research is showing James HOOMAN as being of some importance locally. It is also clear that the two families worked together in carpet making.
