The one and twentieth day of May Anno Dom one thousand six hundred seventy and three I Sampson Lort of the parish of Mannorbeerd in the Countie of Pembroke Esq A most unprofitable servant of God being in health of body and sound in minde and in memory? Thankes be to Allmighty God And calling to remembr branious the brutal - and of this Transitory life and that I might yield unto death when it shall please God to Call, But make conitude ordained and declare this my last will and testament in manner and consent following Revoking and Annulling by their presencs all and many testament and testaments oursill and wills heretofore by me made and declared either by word or by writing and this is to be taken only for my last will and testament and none other And first being penitent and Sorrie from the bottom of my heart and Soule for all my Sinnes paid most humbly desireing of my God in the bloodshedding and bitter death and passion of his only sonne Jesus Christ my Lord and most saviour forgivvenesse of the Saint and of my sinfull George I give and commit my soule spirit to Allmighty God my Saviour and Redeemer in whom and by this missive of whome alone I forgive and believe assuredly to be Saved, and to have full remission and forgiveness of all my Sinnes and of my sinfull son And that my soule and my body at the Generall day of Resurrection Shall meet againe with joye and through the manner of Christs Death and passion possesse and/
P2/inherit the kingdom of heaven prepared for his Elect and Chosen And my body to be buried in the parish Church of Stackpoole Elidor neere my deceased friends already interred there And now for the settling of my temporall Estates and Lands And such goods chattels and Debts as it hath pleased God farr above my defects to bestowed appointe I do order give and dispose the same in manner and forme following that is to say ffirst I will that all those debts and duties that I owe in Risks or Conscience to any Manner of person or persons whatsoever Shall be well and greatly contented and paid within the first three months by me after my decease by my Executors hereafter named Item I give will and desire and bequeath onto my only Sonne Thomas out of the parish of Mannorbeere in the County of Pembroke aforesaid my heyre apparent And to the heyres male of his body lawfully to be begotten for ever and for want of such heyres male of his body to such ye son and ye sons and their heyres male as hereafterin this my last will and testament is expressed and decared all that messuage or feuime with the appurtenances called Cllellins Parke Situate Lyeing and being in the p’ish of Carew in the said County of Pembroke with all Lands and hereditaments thereunto belonging or in any will appertaining or respected to be parteill or member there of late in the Tenure and occupation of John Evans and now in the tenure and occupation of me the said Sampson Lort and my assignes and undertenants And all that messuage or tenement with the appurtenances called Llanfiganett[1] situate llyeing and being in the said parish of Carew in the aforesaid Countie with all Lands and hereditaments thereunto belonging or in any wise appertayning or respected as the partell and member thereof late in the tenure and occupation of William Lewis but now in the tenure and occupation of me the said Sampson Lort and my Assignes And all that messuage and Tenement with the appurtenances situate lyeing and being in now Carew all Newtowne in the parish of Carew in the said Countie of Pembroke with all Lands and Hereditaments thereunto belonging or any wise appertaining respected as partell and member thereof late in the tenure or occupation of Richard Lewis but now in the tenure and of Phillipp Mathew Thomas Godd Junior and …… Lewis the Coachman And all that messuage or tenement with the appurtenances situate lyeing and being in West Williamston in the said parish of Carew in the said Countye of Pembroke withall Lands and hereditaments thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining or respected as ye hr persons and member thereof late in the tenure or occupation of John Julian but now in the occupation of Thomas Godd the Elder or his assignees and all that halfe Burgage and fourth owners of Land or Thereabouts situate lyeing and being at Rodber in the parish of Carew Aforesaid late in the tenure and occupation of Stephen Wirthinge but now in the Occupation of John Sabine or his Assignes And also all that messuage or hereditament With the appurtenances Called East Moore Lyeing and being in the parish of Mannerbeere in the said Countye of Pembroke with all Lands and Heredit-aments thereunto belonging or any wise appertaining or resputed as ye ye & member thereof Now in the tenure and occupation of me the said Sampson Lort And all that messuage and hereditaments with the appurtenances Called Westen-moore lyeing and being in the parish of Mannerbeer aforesaid in the said county of Pembroke with all Lands and hereditaments thereunto belonging or in any--wise appertaining or resputed as the forth or member thereof Now in the tenure and occupation of me the said Sampson Lort and my Assignes And one forth of ground ralloes and knowne by the name of Calves and lyeing in the parish of Mannerbeere aforesaid and now in the tenure or me the said Sampson Lort And or officer Messuage or hereditament and Lands with the appurtenances thereunto belonging Situate Lyeing and being in Jameston in the said parish of Mannorbeene in the said Countye now in the tenure of me the said Sampson Lort/
P3/ and my undertenants And one other Messuage or Tenement and Lands with the Appurtenancies thereunto belonging Situate in the Towne and Fields of Mannerbeere in the said Countye of Pembroke now or late in the seven all tenants and occupation of Thomas Gold Thomas Webb and William Morgan and theretofore in the demesne and occupation of one Denzy Dirkinge And all those two other messuages hereditaments and Lands with the appurtenances within the parish of Manerton [Minerton?] in the Said Countie of Pembroke late in the tenure or occupation of Sir John Myzicke [??] knight his assignes or undertenants and now in the occupation of Widdow Buglies, One: other messuages or hereditaments and lands with the appurtenances in the said 4 yrs of Mennerton in the said Countie of Pembroke now in the Tenure or occupation of John Russell or his Assignes, one other Messuage or tenement and Lands with the appurtenances in the parish of St Maries in Pembroke in the said Countie of Pembroke called by the name Bayards Pools now or late in the severall tenures or occupations of Ricke Phillipe Samuel Smith and ….. /P5 Maydod in the Countie of Montgomery and the heires male of her body lawfully begotten or to be begotten And for want of Such Issue Then my will and meaning is that all the said premisses Shall be and remain unto the heyres Generall of me the said Sampson Lort for ever Item as Containing my personal estate I doe desire and bequeath unto my said natural Daughter Elizabeth Lloyd wife to Charles Lloyd of Dolobran in the Countie of Mongomery the Summe of one hundred pounds of Current money of England to be paid unto her by my executor hereafter named within one yeare after my decease besides which said hundred pounds my meaning is that my Executor shall pay unto my said daughter and her now husband my sonne in law Charles Lloyd one hundred pounds of my said Daughters portion return if the said Sampson Lort set out them at the writing hereof if I shall not pay it then my wife whileI live and hast my said sonne in lawes Acquittance for the same Item I give and bequeath to Mathew Davids the sonne of Richard Davids lately deceased at Newcastle Emblin in Carmarthenshire who left the said childe to my care at his death the summe of Thirtie pounds to be paid him at his attaining to the age of Seaven and Twentie years of he live so long but if he happen to dye before he come to the Age of Seaven and Twentie years then my will is that my said Executor shall have it to himselfe Item in the interim betweene my death and the tyme the said Mathew Shall attain to the full Age of one and Twentie years please him to the Gaze of my Executor to breeds him at School and University and to train him upp in the ways of God in the new? Protestant Religion and to provide for and give unto him in case Scincke and Cloathes suitable to his quallities and condition and to buy and pay for his bookes and schooling and not to suffer him to want the thing that is neccessarie and convenient for him, my desire being if it please the Lord that he be trained upp for the neccessities and that he be made a Scholler Item I give and bequeath -to the Children of John Gwithier late of Morvill deceased to be equally divided amongst them by my Executor the Summe of Twentie pounds in lawfull money to be paid them out of my personal estate within one yeare after my decease Item I give and bequeath to the Children of my late Cozen Evan Louge late of Temby mercer and Joyce his wife both deceased the summe of Tenn pounds to be equally divided amongst them by my Executor within one yeare after my decease Item I give and bequeath to my servant Margarett Steward the full summe of five pounds of Currant money of England to be paid her within six months after my decease by my said Executor Item I give and bequeath to my servant Thomas William five pounds Item I give and bequeath to my servant John Moir and to Lettice his wife Twenty Shillings a piece.
