Sir Charles Rowley [1770-1845]

There is much wirtten about Sir Charles, and this will be summarised here in due course. Meanwhile his record of service is shown in the table below. Sir Charles was the fourth son of Sir Joshua so did not inherit the title nor the stately home. He was awarded his own title in 1836.

He married Elizabeth King, the youngest daughter of Sir Richard King, who also had a naval career as well as being MP for Rochester from 1794-1802.
